History

The Hands In Service Pupppets and Creative Ministries team was started to perform at the Olathe Christian Church's Fall Friendzy Festival in the Fall of 2000. It was just supposed to be a small thing.
Back then there were only 6 people on the team. It was never intended to be as big as it has now become.

After the show at the Fall Friendzy Festival, The HIS Puppets and Creative Ministries team decided it was time to compete in their first ever One Way Street Regional Puppet Festival. We came away with a Gold Award and People's Choice.

Since that Festival, we have only grown. We have gone on to perform for many other churches, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and City Union Mission in Kansas City.

We have grown to an amazing size of 23 puppeteers! We are expanding into more than just puppets. We now have Dowel Rods, Miming, and Human videos in our performances. We are performing longer shows, traveling to more places, and enjoying every minute of it.

It is amazing to think that this team started with 6 people and a few puppets. It really is awesome what God can do when you trust in him to lead you straight. He can take a small idea, and turn it into a flourishing ministry!
